OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 June 2008 was announced, that in January 2008, PAVA signed the first contract for the delivery of bulk flour to Afghanistan . Collaboration of the largest grain processor of Siberia and the Far East OJSC PAVA (www.apkhleb.ru) and the Afghan wholesaler company starts to work on a regular basis. Every month this partner purchases more than 600 tons of first and second-grade flour. In May, 2008 this volume grew to 1,000 tons, and also consignment of the same size is to be shipped to Afghanistan in June. The increase in the volume of sales and stable relationship with a foreign partner demonstrates that Altay flour produced by PAVA is in high demand in the Islamic Republic.

In addition to the excellent quality, there are a number of other factors that make PAVA attractive for collaboration with foreign partners. The advantage of the enterprises in the PAVA group is their geographical location. Flour mills of the grain processor are situated close to export borders. OJSC PAVA is the only company over the Urals able to produce big volumes of products, necessary for exporting and of invariably high quality. Furthermore, the company has an International Business Department, where employees specialize in drawing up foreign contracts.

Over 5 months of the current year PAVA employees managed to significantly expand its customer base in Afghanistan . Apart from the wholesaler company which became the first long-standing partner in the Altay grain processor’s export business, there are a few other partners in the Republic, and their list is increasing monthly. Today around 4,000 tons of first-grade flour and approximately 800 tons of second-grade flour is delivered to Afghanistan . OJSC PAVA plans to further enlarge its customer base in the Republic.
