OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 June 2008 was announced, that workers of the Altay enterprises, integrated in the grain processor PAVA Group, appreciated the benefits of using tractors “New Holland” and sowing complexes “ Salford ”.

The largest grain processor of Siberia and the Far East PAVA includes 3 agricultural enterprises: OJSC “Selhozholding” (Romanovsky district), “ Seliverstovo ” production unit ( Volchihinsky district) and OJSC “ Allak ” ( Kamensky district). This year, imported machinery was purchased for the sowing campaign. Its advantages became obvious during the very first days of the campaign. One imported tractor at the same time performs the functions of three domestic machines– such as tillage, sowing and packing. It significantly speeds up the work.

“New Holland ” and “ Salford ” do not ram down the soil whereby the water and aerial regimes of the seeds are not disrupted. Besides, in all of PAVA enterprises fertilizers such as ammonia saltpeter are put in the soil together with the seeds. This approach to work increases the germinating capacity.

“New Holland ” tractor moves at 12 kmh and plants all the seeds in the same set depth, unlike domestic seeding-machines. Machinery working with this quality approximates field yield to the laboratory one, although usually it is 2 or 3 times lower”, says Andrey Ananin, OJSC PAVA Director General.

Due to using up-to-date imported machinery, the campaign was conducted without shut-downs for repairing the farm vehicles. All operations were carried out well, according to the schedule.
