OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2008. OGK-4 and General Electric International Inc. have entered into service maintenance contracts under the construction projects for the new CCGT-based power units at OGK-4’s Surgutskaya GRES-2 and Shaturskaya GRES. The service maintenance contracts were approved by the OGK-4 Board of Directors.

OGK-4 signed one contract as part of the project for constructing CCGT-800 (2xCCGT-400) power unit at its Surgutskaya GRES-2 in order to provide service maintenance for the power equipment manufactured by General Electric. The equipment was purchased pursuant to the General Contract Agreement of October 27, 2007, between OGK-4 and the General Electric-Gama consortium for the design, delivery of equipment and spare parts, construction and commissioning of the 800 MW single-shaft combined cycle gas turbine unit (on a turnkey basis).

The other contract was signed with General Electric to provide service maintenance for the CCGT-400 at OGK-4’s Shaturskaya GRES. OGK-4 entered into the General Contract Agreement for the turnkey construction of the CCGT-400 at Shaturskaya GRES with the General Electric-Gama consortium on July 31, 2007.

The investment projects to construct new CCGT-based generating capacity at Surgutskaya GRES-2 and Shaturskaya GRES are on the List of Priority Sites for Commissioning of Generating Capacity in the Unified Power System of Russia. The two CCGT-400 units at Surgutskaya GRES-2 are scheduled to be constructed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2010 and the CCGT-400 unit at Shaturskaya GRES, in the fourth quarter of 2009.
