OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 June 2008 was announced, that in the end of May 2008, a meeting of International Holding CENTRAVIS sales forces was held. The meeting was attended by CENTRAVIS top management and sales representatives from Germany, Switzerland, the Russian Federation, Italy, Eastern Europe, the USA and CIS countries.

The main topics of the meeting were the sales results of the teams at their respective markets for the 1st quarter and projections for the 2nd quarter. Apart from these, the sales plan for the second six-month period of 2008 and the seamless stainless steel tubes market situation were discussed in detail at the meeting.

On the whole, the average percentage of CENTRAVIS Holding sales plan implementation for the 1st quarter 2008 is 110%. For certain types of tubes this figure exceeds 190%.

The sale of heat-exchanger and boiler tubes in the first quarter amounted to 1,842 tons, which makes 116.60% of the planned 1,580 tons. Also, 359 tons of instrumentation tubing were sold in the first quarter (111.93% of the plan realized), the sales plan for Ni-alloys reached 140%. For the period under review, CENTRAVIS sold 79 tons of furnace tubes (plan implementation — 191.00%) and 506 tons of hollow bars (plan implementation — 100.83%).

Upon considering the main trends of the seamless stainless steel tubes market and plans, the meeting participants have distinguished the following:

At the German market, an increased demand in the segment of hollow bars is observed.

In Italy, the sales of finished products under the stock program tend to increase. This trend is specific for almost all Western European countries.

The Swiss trade company of CENTRAVIS Holding has developed new markets for selling seamless heat-exchanger tubes in Holland and Spain.

At the North American market, CENTRAVIS is planning to increase the volume of sales three times by the end of 2008.

For the CIS market, CENTRAVIS Company has organized the sale of a new high-tech product — tubes of heat-resistant steels ЧС 33 for the military industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
