OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 June 2008 was announced, that Moscow International Airport Domodedovo organized the Day of Embassy of Hungary in Domodedovo and welcomed the delegation of the Embassy of Hungary to the Russian Federation. Representatives of Malev Hungarian Airlines and AirUnion alliance participated in the event as well. The delegation had the opportunity to experience a day of an ordinary passenger and to familiarize themselves with the range of services offered by Russia's largest airport.

The event kicked-off from the city passenger terminal at Paveletsky train station. Having left their personal cars behind, the diplomats traveled to the airport onboard the Aeroexpress train to fully embrace the benefits of direct railway connection of the airport with Moscow city centre. As quickly as 40 minutes later, the leading airport experts welcomed the arrival of the guests. During the round table, an overview of achievements and prospective plans of Moscow International Airport Domodedovo was presented.

Memorizing that in Spring this year, Malev Hungarian Airlines moved their flights to Domodedovo, the prospects of the development of tourism between Russia and Hungary and the proactive role of the airport in this process was discussed with particular interest. The tour around the passenger terminal concluded the 'official' part of the programme. The airport officers showcased the results of the airport infrastructure modernization activities as well as the development of retail businesses and the latest security technologies.

The luncheon at Domodedovo Airhotel culminated the Day of the Embassy of Hungary in Domodedovo.

This opens new prospects for mutual co-operation with Domodedovo airport" - said the head of the delegation, Mr. Pel Benhalmi, Attache for Transport, Communication and Information of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary to the Russian Federation.
