OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2008. World Donor Day is marked on 14 June. Being a donor is honorable, noble and prestigious. A person who voluntarily donates his blood to save the lives of sick people who desperately need this undoubtedly deserves respect.

ARMA Bank will conduct an event called “Donate blood – save lives!” among its personnel on the eve of the Donor Day.

Banks normally allocate certain sums of money for charitable purposes. However, money is not always helpful. Money cannot buy health! The Association of Young Donors of Ukraine turned to ARMA Bank with an initiative to organize a charity event. But they asked not for money to be raised, but for people to become donors for the children fighting fatal diseases who urgently require a blood transfusion.
The members of staff of ARMA Bank received this information enthusiastically and are ready to help children. ARMA Bank has provided a bus for the event: it will deliver future donors to the blood transfusion centre of the regional clinical hospital. Unfortunately, strict requirements as to the health of donors, along with age restrictions, have substantially reduced the ranks of participants of the event. However, those who can be donors will do their utmost to help children on 13 June. Let’s hope that our blood will have children’s lives!
