OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 June 2008 MVK announced, that on September 23-27 Sokolniki exhibition centre will welcome the 6th International specialized exhibition for gas supply and effective use of gas GasSUF-2008. The exhibition is organized by MVK International exhibition Company, JSC Gazprom, VNIIGAZ, JSC Promgaz and Russian National Gas Vehicle Association (NGA). The general media partners are: Interfax and Alternative Fuel Transport, magazine; and CZAS NA GAZ, LPG&CNG MAGAZINE POLAND, magazines.

For all these years the GasSUF (Gas Supply & Use Fair) project has supported the Gazprom Concept of the Regional Gasification of the Russian Federation certified by the Gazprom CEO on April 5, 2008 and the Concept of Regional Policy certified by the resolution No 32 of the Gazprom board of directors on May 22, 2003.

Gas constitutes 50% of fuel and energy balance of Russia, its annual aggregate consumption totals circa 420 billion cubic meters.

In 2007 the reserves increment totaled 592.1 billion cubic meters; gas production amounted to 548.6 billion cubic meters; sales at the domestic market totaled 307.0 billion cubic meters; sales abroad amounted to 168.5 billion cubic meters.

As far as gasification of regions is necessary for their social and economic progress, the intensification of gas usage efficiency is the strategic strand of the regional policy.

For Gasprom, the company basing in Russia, the domestic market is the priority.

JSC Gazprom is the effective and balanced gas supplier for the citizens of the Russian Federation.

The regional gasification is rapidly developing. Over 20 billion rubles were invested in the project in 2007. For the last three years the houses of 13 million Russians had been gasified.

In the nearest future the Far East will be supplied with gas in accordance with the “Program of organization of the integrated system of gas production, transportation and supply by taking into account the possible gas export to the Chinese and Asian-Pacific markets”. The program realization will stimulate the development of Far East and Siberia.

In 2007 the conditions of work at the Russian gas market have changed. The Government of Russia made up the decision to sell gas to the business customers at the common rate, not regulated prices which thwart the progress of the gas industry. The first long-term contracts were concluded with the industrial enterprises (power engineering companies primarily).  The success of the “5+5” experiment allowed the enterprises continue selling gas on-line and thus increase sales up to 15 billion cubic meters a year.

Active participation of Gazprom in the power engineering industry which consumes about 40% of gas has brought returns.

JSC Gazprom maintains the fuel balance in Russia through consolidation of the controlling block of shares of the largest electricity generating company JSC Mosenergo and pooling of power engineering and coal assets.

One more important aspect GasSUF touches upon is ecological safety. Every year the number of exhibitors offering the private consumers and the state modern, cost effective and efficient equipment for gas liquefaction, transportation, storage and GNS regasification; fuel gas equipment; equipment for the service centres and centres for reequipping of automotive materiel, the full range of gas-fueling and gas equipment.

By the way, due to the cooperation of NGA RUS and GasSUF most agricultural regions of Russia already use the advanced technologies.

The business program of the show is highly-topical as well.
