OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 June 2008 was announced, that the Crocus Expo exhibition centre welcomed the 13th Rosupak exhibition (Packing machinery and technologies. Equipment for packaging manufacturing. Packaging materials. Packaging for all industries), the 3rd FOODMASH exhibition (machines and equipment for food and recycling industry and consumables and technologies for food packaging) and the 1st Logistics and Warehousing exhibition.

 “Packaging must please us and improve all the time!”, appealed Alexander Boiko, the Executive Director of the National Confederation of Packagers (NCP), the chairman of the Packaging Industry Development Sub-Committee of the Commerce and Industry Chamber, to the exhibitors and guests at the official opening ceremony of the show.

 “The growth of the Rosupak exposition reflects the development of the packaging industry and indicates the economic revival of Russia”, stated Alexander Krutov, the State Duma parliamentarian. “We are developing both in terms of quality and quantity. We expect to establish new contacts, study the latest tendencies in design and complete a number of tasks. It is the main target of the forum “Strategic Challenges for the Russian Packaging Market”, said President of Rosupak Vladimir Chuikov.

The floor was given to: Alexander Puzikov, the President of the Pakmash Association; Andrei Zagorsky, the President of NCP; and Aleksei Shaburov, Director General of MVK International Exhibition Company. Andrei Lapshin, the President of MVK, wished everyone good luck and successful exhibition.

It was for the first time at the opening of the exhibition that the heads of MVK granted the honorary diplomas to the companies celebrating their jubilees at Rosupak. There about 40 such companies at Rosupak. 10 companies have worked at the market for 5 years; 14 companies – for 10 years and 8 companies, with ECI LIMITED, INC (USA) among them, celebrate their 15th anniversary; Institute EKST and Enterprise LOUCH mark the 20th anniversary; Belneftekhim-ROS, JSC Mogilevkhimvolokno and JSC Polimir celebrate their 40th anniversaries; JSC Tuimazysteklo is 50, and Maryisky CBK have worked for 70 years. SIEMENS celebrates its 155th anniversary in Russia.

The exhibition will work till June 27.
