OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 June 2008 was announced, that Altay grain processor PAVA won the competition for the name of "Best Russian Exporter 2007". This event is held annually by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as part of the state programme designed to promote export development in Russia.

At the award ceremony which took place on June, 20 at the Main Administration for Service of Diplomatic Corps (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in Moscow, OJSC PAVA was represented by a delegation headed by Andrey Ananin, Director General of the Company.

PAVA was granted a medal and an honorary diploma as the winner in the category "Agriculture - Best Exporter of the Industry". Furthermore, the grain processor will have an opportunity to take part in Russian national trade fairs held by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade abroad in 2008, and will be accorded free exhibition area. Besides, information about the Company will be published on a separate page spread in the Catalogue of Russian Export-oriented Products and Technologies.

Over the last year PAVA shipped 37,8 thousand tons of flour to the countries of Near and Far Abroad. In 2007 Altay grain-processor made a real breakthrough in this direction - the volume of export sales increased several times.  The share of the Company's shipments made up 17% of the total volume of exported flour.

The best exporter was chosen according to the methodology based on indicators of the Company's consolidated export reports which were verified through the data base of Russian Federal Customs Service. The winners were announced after the analysis of calculations and additional information.
