OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 June 2008 was announced, that on June 24, the Ninth European Union- Armenia Cooperation Committee and on June 25, the Armenian-Belgium Business Meeting on topic “Armenia. Country of opportunities for Banks and Insurers” took place in Brussels, the capital of the Kingdom of Belgium.

On the agenda of the Ninth European Union- Armenia Cooperation Committee the discussions held on next topics: the development process of the actions program of the European Neighborhood Policy, freedom of speech, human rights, elections and press, the discussion on the accomplishment of the EU-Armenia Free Trade Agreement, the inquiry of Armenia to get the status of the market economy etc.

On the Armenian-Belgium Business Meeting Nerses Yeritsyan presented "Economic Policy of Armenia. Strategy and Perspectives" topic and Vahe Vardanyan presented "Banks of Armenia with foreign capital" topic.
