OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2008. The Joint-Stock Company “Vareganneftegas” (subsidiary of TNK-BP in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area) is going to drill 2 well clusters and 17 wells (11 production wells and 6 injection wells) in the Bakhilovskoe field, the press service of TNK-BP said to the Petroleum Information Agency (ANI).

In the first five months of 2008, the company produced 183,630 tons of oil in the Bakhilovskoe field, which is approximately 7% more than planned owing to the efficient drilling of well cluster N136.

According to the plan, 8 wells will be drilled in well cluster N136, among them 5 production wells and 3 pre-production injection wells. Four of these wells are already drilled. Production of 202,400 tons of oil from well cluster N136 is expected in 2008.
The start of drilling of well cluster N135 is scheduled for June.

The results of drilling and testing of exploration well N29P will be used for refining the geological structure in the northern part of deposit N4 in the Bakhilovskoe field and adjusting the development drilling of eleven wells of well cluster N134 scheduled for 2009.

Development drilling into deposit N4 was started in November 2007. Well 1600 gave a blowout of 198 tons a day. Currently, 8 wells are operated in the field with an average production rate of approximately 150 tons of oil a day.

The Bakhilovskoe field was put into development in 1987, when well N62 was drilled. Drilling activities in the field were then suspended and resumed only in 2007.
