OREANDA-NEWS. On June 26, 2008 JSC BTA Bank (Kazakhstan) has bought 52,8% of shares in the charter capital of LLS BTA Bank (Russia), reported the press-centre of LLS BTA Bank.

As a result of the transaction Kazakhstan BTA Bank became the largest participant in the charter capital of Russian BTA Bank. Earlier the Kazakhstan Bank had 15,6% of LLS BTA Bank.

After the share of JSC BTA Bank in the capital of LLS BTA Bank has been increased, the latter got the status of a subsidiary bank, which is the only official representative of the head office in Russia.

The long-term plans include establishing an international banking brand BTA Bank on the basis of 10 strategic partner banks in the CIS and far abroad, united not only with the single BTA logo but also with the servicing standards, products, business practice. The development strategy up to 2015 suggests BTA Bank taking key positions in the CIS market and winning not less than 2% of the banking services market.

The priorities, among others, of LLS BTA Bank for 2008 include expanding its network in Moscow and Saint Petersburg by more than 50 branches and actively implementing technologies and expertise of strategic partner banks.
