OREANDA-NEWS. On July 01, 2008 a public discussion was launched, which will shape Estonian goals for speeding up economic growth, reported the Official website www.valitsus.ee.

The Estonian Action Plan for Growth and Jobs 2008-2011 sets government goals for speeding up economic growth and creating job positions. The goals are ambitious and more than 150 specific initiatives have been planned for the implementation thereof in the field of macroeconomic environment, competitive business environment and education and labour market.

During the compilation of the plan, new ideas have already been collected, which could contribute to increasing competitiveness. These ideas have been submitted for public discussion at the participation web. New ideas are also welcome on all topics related to the plan. The economic growth plan can be accessed at the participation web at www.osale.ee and proposals submitted until 17 August. The plan will be introduced to the Riigikogu after the public discussions, and submitted to the government for approval in October.

The participation web www.osale.ee allows to have one’s say in what is going on in the society, and submit proposals to the government.
