OREANDA-NEWS. July 7, 2008. The Days of KAMAZ Inc. on Sakhalin passed from 3 to 5 July in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk where the first exhibition of KAMAZ heavy vehicles in the history of the island was held.

The Days of KAMAZ was not simply a chain of events connected with one topic. The KAMAZ organizers’ aim was to acquaint the management of the Sakhalin region administration and potential partners with new, promising developments of the company in the sphere of special equipment.

The KAMAZ delegation was headed by Ilfas Gatiyatulin, Director General of OAO KAMAZ Trade and Finance Company (TFC). They visited the premises of the official dealer of KAMAZ Inc. – OOO Sakhalin-Zapchastservis and the KAMAZ service center.

The representatives of the Sakhalin region and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk administration participated in the opening ceremony of the KAMAZ exhibition.

Despite traditions, the symbol of exhibition opening was not cutting a symbolic ribbon, but awarding the best professional KAMAZ drivers of the region. Ilfas Gatiyatulin presented them with prizes.

On 4 July there took place the conference “The Days of KAMAZ on Sakhalin where the managers of the largest regional enterprises participated. They learned about the latest models of the leader of the Russian automobile production, about attractive financial schemes of purchasing of automobile equipment, including Trade-In – exchange of old KAMAZ vehicles for new ones.

It should be noted that the region has lately grown interested in production of KAMAZ Inc. greatly. It is proved by the fact that the Sakhalin region received more new KAMAZ vehicles during the first 6 months of 2008 than for the whole last year. Sakhalin is no more outskirts if it’s developing and entering the Russian economic and information space. KAMAZ Inc. as the largest Russian truck producer cannot but take a part in strengthening the economy of this region of the Russian Federation with rich history and numerous talents.

The next batch of KAMAZ equipment and production of its subsidiaries will be delivered to the island according to the contracts concluded in July. In particular, it includes 22 low-entrance NEFAZ buses with KAMAZ engines. Also, the island will receive municipal vehicles on KAMAZ chassis: garbage trucks, vacuum and combined road vehicles.
