OREANDA-NEWS. July 9, 2008. The Expert RA rating agency has assigned B+ (acceptable creditworthiness level with good outlooks) rating to Hamkorbank.

High profitability level and good diversification of the loan portfolio added up to the Bank’s image. “In 2007 the Bank achieved good own capital profitability of 42.03%, asset profitability of 6.29%, which is above average in the Uzbek bank system”, - says Anton Kartuesov from Expert RA. The bank main drawbacks: certain vagueness in relation to drastic change of the Hamkorbank model. Before 2006 motor-credits to population played a significant role in the Bank’s portfolio. But in 2006 Republic of Uzbekistan set limits on selling cars through bank transfers, and the Bank took to crediting corporate borrowers, mostly SME.
