Russian Standard Bank, Russia’s leading consumer lending institution and the issuer of American Express Cards in Russia, and Transaero Airlines, a leading air carrier in Russia, announced the launch of a new line of co-branded Transaero American Express Cards, reported the press-centre of Russian Standard Bank.

The new line of cards, which includes the Transaero American Express Classic Card, Transaero American Express Gold Card and Transaero American Express Platinum Card, will provide cardholders the special benefits of having an American Express Card as well as those offered through Transaero’s frequent flyer program, the Transaero Privilege program.

Transaero American Express Cardmembers will accumulate bonus points from purchases made on any of the three cards, at an attractive rate that increases with the card type. Points can be used when purchasing flights to any of 70 cities served by Transaero, or for a flight class upgrade. Cardmembers will also be able to obtain additional cards on the same account for spouses and other family members, which will have the same benefits and help Cardmembers to accumulate bonus points more quickly. With flight rewards starting at only 2,000 points, these cards offer the fastest way to earn free travel, in Russia and around the world.

Cardmembers will automatically become members of the Transaero Privilege program, which offers a range of travel benefits, such as priority on waiting lists, free upgrades, additional luggage allowances and discounts on business class tickets. Gold and Platinum Cardmembers will also have business class check-in and airport lounge access.

Transaero American Express Cards offer a number of financial advantages, such as low interest rates, grace period up to 55 days and no additional fees and commissions. All card types provide travel insurance, service in 2,200 American Express Travel Offices all over the world, discounts and special offers and free card replacement both in Russia and abroad.
