OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2008. In the first six months of 2008, the First Freight Company shipped over 31,2 million tons of goods, with domestic shipments accounting for 21,1 million tons, exports for 9,5 million tons, imports for 500,000 tons and transit goodsfor 100,000 tons, reported the press-centre of First Freight Company.

In IH2008, the Company shipped 10,3 million tons of oil cargo, 8,7 million tons of coal, 6,7 million tons of cement, 2,1 million tons of construction materials, 1,7 million tons of ore, 0,6 million tons of ferrous metals and over 1,2 million tons of other goods.

The structure of the Company’s freight turnover according to category was as follows: Class 1 goods amounted to 66,7% of the total, Class 2 to 29,9% and Class 3 to 3,4%.

It is planned to reduce the proportion of Class 1 goods and increase the percentages of Class 2 and 3 goods by the end of 2008.
