OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 July 2008 was announced, that in June, 2008 the most significant event for the largest grain processor of Siberia and the Far East (www.apkhleb.ru) was that following the results of the competition held by Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade PAVA was acknowledged Best Russian Exporter 2007. During the award ceremony which took place on June, 20 in the Cultural Centre at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs OJSC PAVA was granted a medal and an honorary diploma as the best exporter of the grain processing industry.

Speaking about export sales, it should be noted that in the former USSR countries the demand for products of the Altay grain processor is growing. Since June, 2008 PAVA was shipping 300-500 tonnes of flour to the CIS countries almost daily. Last month, the main clients from the CIS were partners from Uzbekistan. Also, for the first time such foreign country as Kazakhstan became interested in PAVA products.

The grain processor continued its collaboration with the UN within the line of the World Food Programme whereby flour produced by PAVA was shipped to Bangladesh for the first time in the company’s history. The Republic will receive about 1500 tonnes of flour enriched by a special vitamin complex.

On June, 18 PAVA won the tender for shipment of crackers to the trading network “Monetka” – one of the leading networks in Yekaterinburg and the whole of Ural Region. PAVA subsidiary “Zauralskiy Kreker” will be shipping to this network no less than 8 tonnes of crackers every month. Besides, in June OJSC “Zauralskiy Kreker” delivered its products to Ufa market for the first time.

At the end of June the annual meeting of PAVA shareholders took place, where the financial report for 2007 and the restated Charter of the company were approved. During the event the new Board of Directors for OJSC PAVA was elected.

On June, 16 PAVA fully discharged its obligations in redemption of three-year bonds (Series 1, par value RUR1, 000).
