OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 July 2008 was announced, that IES-Holding President Mikhail Slobodin addressed the 12th annual Investors Conference organized by Renaissance Capital. In his speech he noted that the power engineering industry is currently characterized by persisting problems, in particular related to capacity market launching and retail market reforming. "Investors are waiting for the capacity market to be launched as scheduled, as well as for the retail market to be reformed", underlined IES-Holding President.  Also, there is an acute problem of energy efficiency calling for a heat supply reform, added Mikhail Slobodin.

According to Mikhail Slobodin, relevant agencies will shortly start discussing a new system of interrelations between heat supply market players. "Within a year or a year and a half, we plan to complete refining the heat supply regulation system in order to move further in the direction of transparent and understandable rules", he said. Proposals to be discussed include transfer to long-term tariff-setting, and introduction of the RAB approach and two-rate tariffs in those companies where it appears appropriate, IES-Holding President explained. "We will participate in the discussions as we are the largest heat producer in Russia", added Slobodin.
