OREANDA-NEWS. On July 11, 2008 The decision on the accession of Moldova Stock Exchange in IAE CIS was taken at the general meeting of members of IAE CIS, which was attended by leaders of 17 organizations from 10 CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan), including 15 exchanges and 2 depositories.

At the same meeting, Belarus universal trade exchange has also become member of IAE CIS. During the general meeting of IAE CIS, the results of the activity of Association for 2007-2008 and the new structure of the Council were confirmed.

The association’s present key challenge is to create and launch the new site of IAE CIS, which should organize modern electronic information interchange between the exchanges – IAE CIS members. In particular, it is planned to publish works on current changes of exchange indexes, as well as exchange rates of national currencies to dollar, euro and the Russian rouble.

In addition, the site will include major legislative acts and other regulations governing financial and trade markets in CIS, as well as monthly updated data on transaction turnover and other information according to the Exchange Statistics of IAE CIS Bulletin.

The International Association of Exchanges of CIS countries was founded in Moscow in 2000 to coordinate development of organized financial markets in accordance with international standards. IAE CIS comprises 21 organizations, including 18 leading exchanges and 3 depositaries from 9 CIS states.
