OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2008. Reconstruction and Development Fund of Uzbekistan allots USD 64,4 mln to Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company for construction of two separator pump units (SPU) in southern gas deposits of the country.

As Uzbekneftegaz commented, during exploitation of gas deposits the gas pressure at the pipelines fall down. In order to keep the rate of flow on the optimal level there should be an SPU, which as a rule are constructed exclusively.

The total cost of the abovementioned projects implemented within a program on increase of gas production is USD 150,45 mln. Besides the means of the Fund the Holding uses its own USD 68,95 mln and a credit from Korean Development Bank (KDB) - USD 17,1 mln.

According to the feasibility study of the project the annual output of the SPU in Pamuk deposit is 3.5 bln cubic meters of natural gas.

The KDB USD 17,1 mln credit will be directed at implementation of a project on reconstruction of preliminary gas processing units at Denzikul deposit in Kashkadarya region and construction of annual 3 bln cubic meters of gas output SPU. Uzbekneftegaz started the project last year, where it conducts civil and erection works. The credit will be used for purchasing of technological equipment.

In the middle of 2007 Uzbekneftegaz launched an SPU at Zevardy deposit in Kashkadarya region. The main contractor of the construction works of the unit of 3,5 bln cubic meters of annual output capacity was Swiss Zeromax GmbH. The project was financed by Uzbekneftegaz alone.
