OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2008. The Board of Directors of Bank Electronika held a meeting at which it elected Andrei Zverev to be its new chairman. Member of the Board of Directors elected Mr. Zverev unanimously.

Andrei Viktorovich Zverev has worked for many years in finance, holding high positions in government agencies and institutions and large commercial organizations. In the early 1990s, Mr. Zverev was deputy minister of finance of the Russian SFSR and first deputy minister of finance of the USSR. At present Mr. Zverev heads Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation, an establishment of the federal government.

Mr. Zverev was elected to the Board of Directors of the Bank on June 25, 2008, during the Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of Bank Electronika. He holds the status of an independent director.

Bank Electronika works continuously to raise the level of corporate governance, following the best practices of leading foreign financial institutions. The choice of an independent director as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank is one in a series of steps in that direction.
