OREANDA-NEWS. On July 15, 2008 the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) decided to initiate proceedings against "Lukoil" OJSC, "Gazprom neft" OJSC, "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC, "Rosneft" Oil Company" OJSC and "Surgutneftegaz" OJSC for breaching Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS Russia incriminates "Lukoil" OJSC, "Gazprom neft" OJSC, "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC, "Rosneft" Oil Company" OJSC and "Surgutneftegaz" OJSC violations of antimonopoly legislation by setting monopolistically high prices on the wholesale markets of aviation kerosene and diesel fuel in the Russian Federation.

Furthermore, "Gazprom neft" OJSC and "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC violated Clauses 6 and 8 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" by fixing economically, technologically and otherwise unjustified different prices (rates) for the same goods, and creating discriminatory conditions for the buyers on the wholesale market of aviation kerosene in the Russian Federation.
