OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 July 2008 was announced, that Rambler Media Group, one of the leaders of the Russian Internet market, and IMHO VI, the leading Internet advertising agency in Russia, have signed an agreement for selling the WAP ads.

The market of mobile advertising is actively developing across the world.  According to the British Juniper Research, the annual marker growth will amount to 42%, reaching USD 2 billion by 2013. The forecasts of other research companies are even more impressive: eMarketer expects that the amount of investment in the market of mobile search ads will reach USD 3.8 billion already in 2012; ABI Research forecasts USD 5 billion by 2013 in its own report.

Anna Znamenskaya, commercial director at Rambler: “The market of mobile advertisement in Russia began to take shape a few years ago. Today, it is assessed at USD 5 million (forecast for 2008). With due account taken of the Internet and mobile technologies development in Russia, we believe that the mobile advertisement market has huge potential. We hope that already next year the market will be up about 70%. Mobile advertisement is an efficient advertisement channel for the client, since the mobile ad CTR is many times over higher than that of the ordinary web banners".

Rambler is actively developing in the tideway of the international Internet trends. The Company is preparing the strategy for the development of mobile Rambler, which it will begin to implement in the fall of 2008.
