OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2008. Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Sergey Bogdanchikov, President of NK Rosneft signed an Agreement of Cooperation on gas supply to the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD).

The parties agreed that Gazprom would purchase a 25 per cent plus one share stake in Daltransgas from NK Rosneft. Gazprom will provide NK Rosneft with an access to free capacities of the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas pipeline.

Gazprom and Rosneft will jointly conduct negotiations with the Sakhalin I Consortium concerning the purchase by Gazprom of 1.5-2 bcm of gas at the agreed price to supply to the Primorsky Krai. The parties also decided to jointly continue talks with the Consortium in relation to the acquisition by Gazprom of the Phase 2 in Sakhalin I project to supply the FEFD regions with gas.

Gazprom’s representatives in the managing bodies of the Sakhalin II Consortium will consider the possibility of an additional gas production within the project to supply the Primorsky Krai with gas.

NK Rosneft will carry out the Okha – Komsomolsk-on-Amur gas pipeline inspection with an engagement of Gazprom experts to assure the increase in the pipeline capacity to the design level of 4.5 bcmpa.

Gazprom will ensure a stage-by-stage construction and development of the Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas transmission system including the prioritized construction of the Khabarovsk – Vladivostok section, which is planned for commissioning in 2011.
