OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2008. From the very beginning of the Show, a remarkable influx of specialists was observed, including those interested in the products of the world largest manufacturer of titanium, reported the press-centre of VSMPO-AVISMA.

The VSMPO-AVISMA team conducted dozens of business meetings with their partners. Rod Mullen, the Program Manager of RLC Group, has made a presentation of his company, which specializes in machining and is responsible for the delivery of parts and components to Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce (engine builders and VSMPO-AVISMA partners).

The meeting was focused on the practical implementation of the contract that had been concluded earlier. Next week a visit of RLC Group to VSMPO-AVISMA is expected, aimed to explore the existing titanium manufacturing capabilities.

Simon Tomlinson, the Project Manager from Rolls Royce, has had a meeting with Vladislav Tetjukhin, the General Director of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, to discuss a possibility for the company’s participation in one of the projects. The corporation’s representatives expressed their interest in the proposal and discussed the project agenda.

On the very same day a meeting took place between V. Tetjukhin, S. Chemezov, the General Director of Rostechnology State Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the General Director of Rostechnology State Corporation, I. Zavialov, Deputy General Director of Rostechnology State Corporation and Jimmy McMurny, President of The Beoing Company, Scott Carson, President of the Boeing Civiil Aircraft Division, Sergey Kravchenko, President of the Boeing Company in Russia, Mike Bear, Chief Marketing Representative of Boeing, and Shepp Hill, Vice President for the International Cooperation.

The meeting was focused on the issue of low cost airlines in Russia. Leitmotif of the meeting- both Russia and the US, represented by Boeing, can develop co-operation in various fields of industry.
