OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2008. Seven large partners of KAMAZ instrumentspetsmash (KISM) held the third traditional conference on instrument and equipment deliveries in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The managers and specialists of the first KAMAZ plant met with their partners. This time “Group of Eight”, as the partners name themselves, also demonstrated the common approach to solving the main problem – the necessity of further development of mutually beneficial relations to increase competitiveness of KAMAZ and its partners on the market.

Full responsibility for supply of modern, more productive and quality equipment and tools for the whole KAMAZ rests with the technical director’s block of KAMAZ and its main part – OAO KISM. Thanks to successful cooperation with firm-suppliers, downtime of equipment because of shortage of tools at KAMAZ considerably decreased and unit costs of tools were cut down as well. In 2008 KAMAZ plans to save RUB 25 million due to well-coordinated work in this area.

The suppliers noted that it’s profitable to work with KAMAZ: annually the enterprise increases production volume and rate. “The next stage of cooperation with KAMAZ is implementation of new advanced equipment, – Aleksandr Khramov, Director of Khaltek firm (Ulyanovsk) said. – We will introduce new machines at KAMAZ. They will be able to replace up to 15-20 units of analogous, but already old equipment”.

According to the results of 2007 the company Khaltek was acknowledged the most successful supplier of KAMAZ in “Group of Eight. This firm received the first class award at the conference. The Sweden firm Sanvik – the world leader in tools production – is on the second place. The Chelny firm OOO TD RosInstrument supplying cutting tools of American production, as well as hand and pneumatic tools from Sweden is among the top three leaders.
