OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2008. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) granted the petition of "Pepsi-Cola (Bermuda) Limited" on buying 100% voting shares of "Lebedyansky" Experimental Caning Factory" OJSC, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

"Pepsi-Cola (Bermuda) Limited" is mainly involved in investment operations.

The company is also one of leading producer and distributor of non-alcoholic beverages, including mineral water.

"Lebedyansky" Experimental Caning Factory" OJSC produces and sells juices, juice drinks, baby food, fruit & vegetable preserves, meat preserves, and meat & cereal preserves, as well as other food products.

"Lebedyansky" Experimental Caning Factory" OJSC is not included in the Register of economic entities wit over 35% shares on a particular goods market.

FAS Russia has established that "Pepsi-Cola (Bermuda) Limited" buying 100% voting shares of "Lebedyansky" Experimental Caning Factory" OJSC will not restrict competition on the relevant goods markets.

Upon the transaction, "Pepsi-Cola (Bermuda) Limited" will become one of the leading juice producers in the Russian Federation.

Based on the above, FAS Russia has concluded that the petition shall be granted.
