OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 July 2008 was announced, that "Yarenergo", an IDGC of Centre, JSC subsidiary, will execute a complex of works for electric power supply of “Komatsu” under-construction plant under the contract of technological connection.

A solemn ceremony of laying of the first stone of the plant on assemblage of dredges and fork loaders of "Komatsu" Japanese concern took part. Attendees: Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Sergey Vahrukov, ambassador of Japan in Russia Yasuo Saito, President of "Komatsu" concern Kunio Nodzi and representatives of the government of the Yaroslavl Region and the organisations that perform technical support of the construction, including "Yarenergo", an IDGC of Centre, JSC company.

“Komatsu” concern will receive 63 million dollars. The plant will be launched to the 1000 anniversary of Yaroslavl Ї in 2010. In spite of the fact that manufacture is in general automated, the plant will give to the Yaroslavl Region 500 new workplaces.

"It should lead to fuller use of investment potential of our region, and the government of the Yaroslavl Region considers “Komatsu” concern as a strategic partner in the long term performance of this project", Ї said Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Sergey Vakhrukov.

Chairman of the Management Board of "Komatsu CIS" ltd Masao Fudzita noted, "We chose among several regions. But the Yaroslavl Region has offered us the most favourable conditions. It is a complex of measures of the state support, advancement of communications and connection to the electric power."

Under the contract on technological connection 110/10 kV "Chaika" substation will become the power supplying source of the plant; "Yarenergo", an IDGC of Centre, JSC subsidiary, will replace transformers with more powerful ones (will replace two transformers with a capacity of 16 MVA with two transformers with a capacity of 25 MVA each), install two additional 10 kV cells with microprocessor protection, telemechanics and automated system for commercial measuring of power consumption . The workers will also construct 10 kV cable line two km long that will connect "Chaika" substation with "Komatsu" plant.
