OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 July 2008 was announced, that Director General of JSC OGK-5, A.Y. Kopsov, Executive Director of Enel Produzione S.p.A., Livio Vido, Vice-President of ZAO Atomstroyexport, T.V. Ivanov signed the contract between JSC OGK-5 and the consortium of ENEL Produzione S.p.A. and ZAO Atomstroyexport for the engineering, procurement and construction of the 410 MW CCGT power unit on the site of the Nevinomysskaya GRES. The new combined cycle gas turbine plant is going to be commissioned at the end of 2010, in line with the investment program that OGK-5 had previously announced.

This contract follows the procurement of the main equipment for the plant, that will be supplied by OAO Power Machines by the end of 2009, and that includes a 277.2 MW gas turbine with Siemens 1xSGT5- PAC 4000F generator, a 134.55 MW steam turbine with Siemens SST-900-RH generator and a CMI boiler.

The plant will employ the latest technology with an efficiency rate of 57%. By replacing 300 MW of older, low-efficiency units, this plant will allow a reduction in specific consumption of natural gas, increase the installed capacity and the reliability of the plant in one of the highest growth region in the country, and make the plant compatible with NOREM.
