OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 July 2008 was announced, that the staff of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” celebrated its professional holiday.

On their professional holiday the management of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” held a series of meetings with the workers. There the metallurgists congratulated each other, discussed the results of the half of the year and new challenges till the end of 2008. As a part of the meetings the management of the mill discussed the results and plans in such areas:

•Programmes to improve product quality. The basis of development strategy of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” is the constant improvement of product quality. This half of the year a new line, which has no analogues in Ukraine, has been installed and set, a NDT machine that is a part of Continuous production line of the Cold shop. The work on the modernization of existing equipment continues. Plans to equip the Hot shop with a modern NDT equipment were accepted for realization.

•Mastering of new products and innovations. Over the past year, the mill CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE mastered several new types of tubes:

For the American market: tubes from Ni-alloys; Superduplex tubes with high strength properties; U-tubes for power engineering.

For the German market: instrumentation tubes according to DIN standards.

•Social programmes for the staff. According to the level of salaries as of 1H 2008 CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” occupies the 1st position among the companies of the tube industry in Ukraine. Thus, in December 2007, following the reorganization of the management structure and regular evaluation of the staff, an average salary as of 1H 2008 at the enterprise became by 53.5% higher than that in the previous half of the year and by 84.4% as compared to 1H of the last year. Among working specialities an average salary increased by 34.1% compared to the previous half of the year. Compared to the same period in 2007 salaries among workers increased by 52%.

•Charity. CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE actively invests into social projects, which aim at improving the welfare of the city of Nikopol and its inhabitants:

social support of vulnerable people;

improvement of the standard of health services;

help in realization of the potential of active, educated and talented youth in the region.

During the first half of 2008, the factory invested 590 532 UAH into social programmes, within the year it is planned to invest 1.5 million UAH.
