OREANDA-NEWS. July 24, 2008. Sergey Loparyov has been appointed as Director General of the N.L. Dukhov All-Russian Research Institute of Automatics.

Biography

Loparyov was born in Moscow on July 13 1961.
Loparyov has worked at VNIIA since 1980. In 1992 he was appointed as Deputy Director, in 2002 as First Deputy Director.
In 1988 he graduated from Moscow Tooling and Machining Institute.
In 2000 he defended a master’s thesis and in 2005 a PhD thesis.
Loparyov took an active part in the development of VNIIA’s development strategy and tactics, in the elaboration of new projects, in the reformation of the institute’s research, industrial and economic divisions.
Loparyov has made an outstanding contribution to the implementation of military and civil production projects and to the enlargement of VNIIA’s sales markets.
Loparyov has been awarded the Order of Friendship, Order “For Services to Fatherland” 1st Class, Order “For Services to Fatherland” 2nd Class, Medal “850th Anniversary of Moscow.”
 Y.Barmakov, who was VNIIA’s Director General since 1987, has been appointed the research manager of the Institute.
