OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2008. The Government of Belarus introduced amendments and addenda to the main indices of the socio-economic development forecast 2008, reported the Official website www.government.by.

The decision was taken by the Council of Ministers in Resolution №1050 of July 22, 2008. Amendments and addenda were put into governmental resolution #8 of January 4, 2008 that defined the main indicators of the socio-economic development forecast of Belarus in 2008.

The new document changes the indices of exports and imports of goods and services, the balance of foreign trade in goods and services for ministries, concerns, oblast executive committees and Minsk.

The goods exports growth forecast 2008 was heightened from 16,5% to 20%.

The growth of exports of goods in the Industry Ministry is due to make up 26% in 2008 as against 2007 (the previous 18%).

The trade surplus of the Industry Ministry is set to reach US3620 million (US 3170 million). The index of trade surplus for the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs was raised from US 660 to US 760 million, for Belneftekhim Concern – from US 3060 to US 3800 million. The index for Belneftekhim exports went up to 30% from the previous 23,2%.
