OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2008. In the 1st half of 2008 International Bank of Azerbaijan’s assets exceeded USD 4,479 bn (rate: AZN 0,8117 = USD 1) with 25,9% of growth for the 2nd quarter, reported the press-centre of IBA.

IBA informs that total assets as of July 1 reached AZN 3,635 bn versus AZN 2,888 bn by April 1, 2008 and AZN 2,19 bn by July 1, 2007.

Bank’s credit portfolio reached to AZN 2,6 bn versus AZN 1,68 bn by April 1, 2008 and AZN 1,88 bn by early 2008 and AZN 1,39 bn following 1st half of 2007.

Portfolio of consumer loans exceeded AZN 262,632 bn versus AZN 219,8 bn, AZN 209,599 million and AZN 167,035 million respectively.

Deposit basis totaled AZN 1,949 bn against AZN 1,7 bn, AZN 1,6 bn and AZN 1,419 bn respectively. Population’s deposits topped AZN 434,523 million versus AZN 411,957 million, 373,966 million and AZN 282,329 million respectively.

In 2007, 38,7% of bank system assets fell on the share of the IBA (AZN 6,725 bn), 41,4% of credit portfolio (AZN 4,55 bn) and 25,5% of population’s deposits (AZN 1,468 bn).
