OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 July 2008 was announced, that the reconstruction of the first neighbourhood among the threes in Beskudnikovskoe township is to be launched in north Moscow this year.

“The public hearing has recently taken place in the township during which the residents approved the development design of neighbouhoods 5, 6 and 7. The reconstruction is to start with neighbourhood 6,” a press service of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

According to it, besides the housing development, the construction of a full complex of social and cultural objects is also stipulated by the development design. Particularly, a school for 550 students, a kindergarten for 220 children, a sports and fitness complex, a school of arts and an additional building to municipal clinic No 146 are planned to be erected in neighbourhood 6.

A new school for 550 students is to be raised near school No 208 in neighbourhood 5. A new kindergarten for 220 children is to be built on the plot where kindergarten No 578 is currently located. Besides, a building for the local police agency and a sports and recreation centre are to be put up in the neighbourhood.

The construction of Likhobory station of the Moscow Metro in Beskudnikovskoe, in the area adjacent to Church of Innocent the Prelate, is also in perspective.

As concerns neighbourhood 7, an additional building featured a swimming pool is to be erected for school No 656. Two new kindergartens each designed for 220 children are to be built instead of existent kindergarten No 642 and a non-departmental kindergarten. A leisure centre and an additional building to children clinic No 77 are as well to be raised.

The development design of the neighbourhoods also stipulates the construction of new car parks and underground parking garages in the dwelling houses to be built.

It is expected that when the reconstruction has been completed 17,800 people will live in the neighbourhoods. Now the population of them totals 15,000 residents.
