OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2008. Uralmash Machine-building Corporation has finished one of the most important stages of sintering plant No. 3 construction project at Mihailovskiy GOK pelletizing factory currently under construction. Customer has approved two major documents: "Process regulations" for designing sintering plant №3 and the "Basic technical solutions".

Now Uralmash experts are finishing development of the design documentation for sintering machine MOK-1-592 (the major, the largest and most complex component of the plant), drum-type palletizes, pellet screens. This equipment will be made at Uralmashzavod. As of today dates of transfer of the design documentation for manufacturing have been agreed on and equipment manufacturing schedule has been approved.

"Process regulations" define process and calorifics of blast furnace pellets production. The regulations have been developed by NPVP TOREX that works jointly with Uralmash on the sintering plant construction project.

"The basic technical solutions" were developed by MECHANOBR ENGINEERING and by other design organizations. "The basic technical solutions" include process flow diagram, facilities layout and components chain diagram together with specification of the major process equipment.

The contract for equipment and services for sintering plant construction project was made in December, 2007. Mihailovskiy GOK palletizing factory commissioning is planned for November, 2010. New conveyer-type sintering machine MOK-1-592 will produce 5 million tons of pellets per year, thus becoming one of the most productive in the world.

Sintering plant №3 MOK-1-592 - is highly efficient new age equipment with fully automated technological and thermal processes reducing to minimum energy carriers consumption and harmful emissions into atmosphere. It has no foreign analogues.
