OREANDA-NEWS. On 1 August 2008 was announced, that Achinsk flour mill (the Krasnoyarsk region) is an enterprise within the structure of OJSC PAVA, the largest grain processor of Siberia and the Far East. The processing capacity of the mill is 600 tonnes of grain per day. The enterprise is Eastern market-oriented and is considered to be strategically important for bread-baking factories located in the Eastern part of the country. Achinsk flour is perfect raw material, since the production can be customized according to the individual clients’ requirements. Moreover, during the navigation period this mill provides North shipments within the government order. The share of Achinsk flour mill shipments to the East in the total volume of the imports in the Eastern region makes up 40% normally, and 60% during the navigation period. Advantageous geographical situation (proximity to consumers) allows to economize up to 3% of the cost of a single product item on transportation charges.

This year, Achinsk flour mill started working on foreign contracts for the first time. In January, 2008 the first for the enterprise export flour shipment was made. Mongolia received over 1,800 tonnes of PAVA products.

Export deliveries of the mill continued both in May and June, 2008, when contracts with Afghanistan and North Korea were signed. Shipment to North Korea was made as part of the humanitarian programme UN WFP: more than 3,000 tonnes of flour for general purposes was delivered to the Republic. Afghanistan received over 2,000 tonnes of second-grade flour produced by Achinsk flour mill.

Consequently, now 2 flour mills integrated in PAVA structure – Rebrikha mill (the Altay Territory) and Achinsk mill (the Krasnoyarsk Region) – are working on foreign contracts, exporting high-quality flour to dozens of countries. According to the competition results by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade PAVA became the Best Exporter of the Industry – the overseas countries received more than 38, 000 tonnes of flour produced by the Altay grain processor. This year the company has strong chances of surpassing that result.
