OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2008. International Insurance Company earned AZN 9.351 million in premiums during January-June, up 2.2 times on the same period last year, reported the press-centre of International Bank of Azerbaijan.

The company said that payments for insurance claims made AZN 1 million, up 20.9% on a year earlier.

AZN 9.138 million came from voluntary and AZN 0.213 million from compulsory insurance services.

AZN 0.976 million went to voluntary and AZN 0.024 million to compulsory insurance claims. AZN 0.252 million came from and AZN 1.008 million went to reinsurance deals. International Insurance Company, owned by International Bank of Azerbaijan, has been in operation since 2002.

As of April 1, the company’s authorized capital stood at AZN 8.8 million. The insurer provides 29 voluntary and 4 compulsory types of insurance services.
