OREANDA-NEWS. August 07, 2008. ROSNO is constantly updating its statistics of applications received from the tourists affected by the non-performance by the tour operator DETOUR of its obligations under the tour product sales contracts, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

As of July 28 2008, the insurance company ROSNO received over 200 applications from the aggrieved tourists.

The maximum amount of insurance compensations under the liability insurance contract concluded by DETOUR is 10 mln. roubles, while the volume of damage claims submitted by the aggrieved tourists to ROSNO already exceeds 20 mln. roubles. The new claims of tourists continue to arrive, on a daily basis, to the hotline specifically opened by the company.

After having analyzed the received applications, our insurance company reports up-to-date statistical data. The damages claimed by the tourists range from 20,000 to 600,000 roubles. Such a variation can be explained with presence of several application categories, as well as with the nature and size of additional expenditures. Along with an unsubstantial quantity of applications received from individual tourists, ROSNO experts distinguish another major category: applications from groups which had planned and/or had departed on vacation under a group voucher. Over 90% of applications received by ROSNO belong to this category. Such groups count up to 10 people each.

In accordance with the statutory requirements and provisions of the insurance contract, ROSNO reimburses actual expenses incurred by the tourists and duly evidenced by the required payment documents, within the contractual insurance amount of 10 mln. roubles.

The insurance company ROSNO is prepared to fully perform its obligations under the insurance contract concluded between ROSNO and the tour operator DETOUR.
