OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 August 2008 was announced, that Nakhodka started drawing dividends from construction of the “Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean” oil pipeline.

According to information provided to “Russian newspaper – Primorsk Krai” by the Nakhodka’s urban district administration finance department the individual income taxes payments of the first half-year of the EPSO construction have put together 5 million 365 thousand rubles whereof 1 million 609 thousand rubles have come to the municipal treasury. It’s notably that in May the local budget got 231 thousand rubles from these enterprises and in July the amount was 2,6 times higher. Nakhodka’s budget expects further growth of returns as the majority of the subcontractors is registered in the local tax inspectorate.

11 local and non-resident companies are executing large-scale works near Vrangel settlement which comprises the Nakhodka urban district. At the early stage of construction the contractors are preparing the ground for installation of the facilities.

Such construction with the federal status means for Nakhodka not only revenues to the municipal budget but also the additional workplaces. The stake in construction and facility service is made on the local population. By the way at present 2200 individuals have their workplaces there and 900 more will be given after put into operation of the first phase of the oil transportation system in November 2009. And about 30 thousand square meters of the residential area to be constructed for the entrant specialists.

The railway tracks between Kozmino bay and Nakhodka’s ports to the reconstructed. The widening of the railway has already been started near Khmylovka settlement. The development of the petrochemical industry allows in prospective construction of the up-to-date fuel-cell power plant in Nakhodka to release the city of the expensive imported oil-fuel dependence.

The newspaper says as well that Nakhodka’s shipyard has got a request to produce 15 steel forms for production of the concrete wave breakers which will enforce the future oil port in Kozmino. The first form has already been transported to Vrangel port where the concrete structures will be produced.

“The creation of the up-to-date oil terminal in Primorie for oil export to the South-East Asian countries will strengthen Krai’s hands at the international sea shipping market. Budget revenues will grow up. New economically effective workplaces to be created”, - the Governor of the Primorsky Krai Sergey Darkyn commented the news.
