OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 August 2008 was announced, that a wedding ceremony was held today at Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport. A young couple, Denis and Natalia, asked Domodedovo to allow them to have their marriage registered at the airport on the day of a magical combination of numbers - 08.08.08. The airport’s administration agreed to meet the wishes of the young people and set out to organize the ceremony.

It was not by incident that the country’s main air harbour was selected for this remarkable event. It was here that the young couple met one year ago.

On that fateful day, Natalia was traveling on business to Vienna, while Denis was traveling on holiday to Baikal.

“I arrived at the airport, checked myself in, and decided to have a cup of coffee. That is where I met Denis. We exchanged our telephone numbers but he never called me”, - says Natalia.

“I must confess I was too shy to do that, - says Denis. – But several months later I was traveling from Domodedovo again and that is when I decided to dial her number. Natasha answered the phone and we met when I came back to Moscow. In spring we realized we could not live without each other anymore and we decided to get married where we first met”.

The bride in a snow-white dress, the bride-groom in a dark suit, the Mendelssohn’s waltz playing, a walk on the red carpet, a flower arch, and the pronouncement of the young couple now being man and wife on the backdrop of taking-off and landing airplanes – a that is how a new family is born.

Representatives of the Domodedovo airport congratulated the newlyweds and presented them with a honeymoon trip certificate on behalf of the East Line Air Travel Agency.

Natalia: “We are eternally grateful to the airport for organizing this wonderful ceremony. And on top of that, there was another surprise in store for us – a trip to the United Arab Emirates where we are going next week”.

Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport congratulates Denis and Natalia on their marriage. We wish you all the love and happiness in the world. Let the flying weather always accompany your family wherever your travel may take you!
