OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2008. The value of oil products in Ukraine, taking into account global trends, should be under 20%, Ukrainian Vice Premier Oleksandr Turchynov said during a meeting of the expert and analytical group on functioning of the oil market and development of the oil industry.

He said that the high level of imports on the Ukrainian oil market should be reflected in fuel prices on the national market. "Average prices for oil and oil products fell by 20% around the world. Unfortunately, there are no such trends on the Ukrainian market," Oleksandr Turchynov said.

He said that the government "does not want to put administrative pressure on oil traders," but added that companies should not only think about their profits, but also decrease oil prices, taking into account trends on the global market.

Oleksandr Turchynov said that the prime cost of a liter of national A-95 gasoline, including all taxes, is UAH 4.80 and diesel fuel UAH 5.30 (USD 1 / UAH 4.84). He said that "oil prices should be decreased within two weeks."
