OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 August 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow have developed a draft of complex reconstruction of neighbouhood 34 in Yaroslavsky township, northeast Moscow. It stipulates that 56,000 sq m of dilapidated housing will be demolished and 3 times more residential buildings will be erected.

“If 56,000 sq m of obsolete housing has been demolished, 150,000 sq m of new dwelling houses will be built instead of it. Besides, it is stipulated by a draft of complex reconstruction to erect social objects, ground and underground car parks with the total capacity of 800 vehicles,” a source from Moscow City Hall said.

According to the source, the dilapidated residential buildings will be pulled down on Egora Abakumova Street and Palekhskaya Street.

It is also planned to demolish the old garages within the neighbourhood reconstruction. Instead of them the officials promise to put up parking garages with the total area of 25,000 sq m, with the total capacity of 809 vehicles.
