By August 1 this year, Ukrainian agricultural enterprises (except for small-scale), as well as the enterprises keeping and processing grain crops, accumulated 19.3 million tons of grain (which is 42% up on August 1, 2007), including 12.6 million tons of wheat (34% up).

According to Ukrainian State Statistics Committee, 11.7 million tons of grain (34% up) was kept directly at farms, including 7.5 million tons of wheat (29% up). Grain keeping and processing enterprises had 7.6 million tons of grain (56% up), including grain saving companies 5.6 million tons (73% up).

In January - July this year, the average purchase price of grain crops proposed by saving and processing enterprises was UAH 1,130 per ton (UAH 754 last year), including wheat UAH 1,109 (UAH 738), rye UAH 1,116 (UAH 765), and barley UAH 1,203 (UAH 757) per ton (UAH 4.84 / USD 1).

In July this year, these companies purchased grain crops averagely at UAH 998 per ton, which is 13% less than in June, including wheat at UAH 976 (12% less), rye at UAH 1,024 (14% less), and barley at UAH 949 per ton (24% less).
