On August 21, 2008 Yuri Oleinikov was appointed to the position of Deputy General Director of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereinafter – MMC Norilsk Nickel or the Company), where he will be responsible for the Company’s federal and regional programs, the press-centre of Norilsk Nickel reported.

In 2005 - 2008 Yuri Oleinikov was Deputy Head of the Central Executive Committee of the United Russia Political Party in charge of regional policy.

In his position of Deputy General Director – Head of Federal and Regional Programs business sector Mr. Oleinikov will steer the Company’s relations with governmental authorities and public organizations, including representation of the Company’s interests at the governmental level, development and implementation of the Company’s strategic projects in the regions of the Russian Federation, coordination of in-house activities related to the preparation of proposals on improving the legislation currently in force, etc.

In 1978 graduated form Lomonosov Moscow State University (Department of History). Candidate of sciences in History.

1991-1996 worked as Director for Advertising and PR at the Moscow commercial bank INCOMBANK.

1996-2001 - Head of External Relations Department at RAO Norilsk Nickel.

2001-2002 – Deputy Governor of Taimyrsky (Dolgano-Nentsky) Autonomous District in charge of external relations.

2002-2005 - Deputy Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory. Supervision over external and inter-regional relations of the Territorial Administration, youth policy, law drafting, media relations, etc.

2005-2008 - Deputy Head of the Central Executive Committee of the United Russia Political Party.
