OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2008. In January-July 2008, the volume of cargo transportations amounted to 10 million 188,3 thousand tons, or 10,3% more than at the same period of the last year.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, this growth is due to the increase in volume of cargo transportations by auto facilities- by 18,2% - up to 2 million 937 thousand tons and railway-by 7,6% -up to 7 million 165,8 thousand tons.

At the same time, the volume of cargo transportations by river facilities reduced by 7,8%- up to 85 thousand tons and by auto facilities by 16,8%- up to 0,5 thousand tons.
