OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 August 2008 was announced, that Tetra Pak, the world leader in food processing and packaging solutions, has provided the latest technological solutions to the new Galaktika plant to be inaugurated in Gatchina (Leningradsky region).

New dairy is a unique production site that can be considered one of the most advanced in today’s Russia and Europe. The new Galaktika plant equipped by Tetra Pak  is the only fully automated enterprise in Russia’s dairy industry. Tetra PlantMaster platform provides automation of all production processes and allows to operate the factory from one control room. Tetra PlantMaster allows to decrease production costs, the energy consumption, in particular, reduce unplanned stoppages, and increase production efficiency.

The equipment installed on site will allow to process up to 800 tones of milk daily. The leading position of the plant is ensured by Tetra Pak’s latest technological solutions. Tetra Pak has provided equipment for producing dairy, fermented and whey products in different carton-based packaging systems, including Tetra Brik Aseptic, Tetra Prisma Aseptic and Tetra Top.

Igor Akimov, General Director of Tetra Pak Russia, says: “The new plant sets a high standard for the Russian dairy industry. The complete automation of the production is a serious step forward.
