OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 August 2008 was announced, that the reconstruction of Dmitrovsky Park, for which about \\\\$2 million was allocated, has been launched in north Moscow.

“The reconstruction of Dmitrovsky Park is to be completed by the end of 2008,” Yury Khardikov, prefect of the northern administrative district of Moscow said. According to him, it is planned to bed out 45 trees, more than 1,600 bushes and over 67,000 sq m of grass, to allocate small-scale architectural forms and to reconstruct a children’s playground in the park. A brook with ornamental bushes and another playground are also to be set up there.

Dmitrovsky Park is a part of the native zone Angarskie Ponds comprised as well the parks Korovinsky and VISKhOM which are to undergo reconstruction too. The prefect noted that the improvement of the three parks would have the total cost of around USD 6 million. All in all, it is planned to plant approximately 350 trees and 6,000 bushes within the area.

“The reconstruction of the natural complex is scheduled to be completed in 2010. It is intended to dismantle the existent concrete fence around Dmitrovsky Park and to raise a fence all around Angarskie Ponds,” Mr Khardikov added.
