OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2008. ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate has insured 300 cows of the agricultural enterprise Voskhod for the total amount of 10,481,620 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The insured cows are aged 4 to 8 years, with the total weight of 199 tons. The insured area is the Tosnetsky District of the St. Petersburg Region. The concluded contract contemplates insurance against risks of loss and forced extermination of livestock as a result of infectious diseases; fire; natural disaster; accident; explosion, lightning stroke, unlawful third-party acts; and stealage (theft, robbery and brigandage).

For many years, ROSNO has provided animal insurance, and it accepts for insurance virtually any animals, including exotic ones. The company can insure pedigree, sporting and work horses; animals bred at the farms, paultry factories, fur farms; fish and shellfish, grown on a production scale.

The insurance contracts may be concluded by private individuals, owners of circuses, zoo parks, dolphinariums, horse farms, and agricultural enterprises. The company has developed an entire set of programs such as insurance coverage of animals during their transportation, in case of their export or delivery to other Russian regions. Also, ROSNO offers animal owners the insurance coverage of civil liability for the damage inflicted by their pets to life, health and property of third parties.
