OREANDA-NEWS. On August 28, 2008 by his Decree President Alexander Lukashenko has approved the draft intergovernmental agreement with the Republic of Turkey on co-operation and mutual assistance in customs affairs, reported the Official website http://president.gov.by.

This agreement identifies the conditions for co-operation and provision by Belarus and Turkey of mutual assistance in customs affairs with a view to preventing and investigating violations of customs legislation.

The implementation of this agreement will help improve the efficiency of the Belarusian customs bodies and establishing their interaction with the customs bodies of Turkey.

Alexander Shpilevsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus, has been authorised to sign this Agreement.
